Graduate Programme in Islamic Studies and Humanities
The Graduate Programme in Islamic Studies and Humanities (GPISH) is a three year interdisciplinary programme that encourages innovative approaches to the study of Muslim Societies. It acts both as preparation for a research degree and as a stepping stone to a variety of career opportunities around the world. For a statement of the GPISH philosophy please see the prospectus.
- First two years spent at The Institute of Ismaili Studies pursuing Islamic Studies and Humanities
- Third year spent at an accredited UK university*, studying for a Master’s degree
- Intensive Arabic language training with language immersion in an Arabic speaking country
- Educational field trips to Spain and Egypt
- Experience of carrying out a field based research project in locations around the world
- Opportunity to pursue rewarding careers in a variety of fields
