Research Programmes
In accordance with its mandate, the Institute’s research programmes seek to encourage scholarship and learning on Shi‘i Islam and its Ismaili tariqah, as well as the broader field of general Islamic studies. This implies a comprehensive perception of Islam as an integral world civilisation and due recognition of the diversity of its religious and cultural expressions.
In all research activities, the Institute favours civilisation-based and interdisciplinary approaches and the exclusion of narrow sectarian perspectives. Currently, there are numerous research projects in various stages of development. To learn more about the Institute's forthcoming publications, please
