Asif Alidina


Biography

Asif Alidina is the Communications, Development and Alumni Relations Manager at The Institute of Ismaili Studies.

Asif joined the Institute in 2006 with responsibility for the planning, implementation and management of all communications and resource development activities at the IIS. These responsibilities include the promotion of the Institute's work, and in particular its publications, to the Ismaili community and selected external audiences. He also manages the Institute’s donor relations activities as well as an international voluntary network of Resource Development Committees based in North America, Europe and East Africa.

Asif also oversees the Institute’s Alumni Relations and Website activities and staff.

Prior to joining the IIS, Asif worked for a leading supplier of Human Resource and Management Information Systems in the UK. Born and raised in London, England, he graduated from the University of Nottingham’s School of Computer Science with a BSc in E-Commerce & Digital Business.

During his time at the IIS, Asif has contributed to several major projects including the closing phase of the Worlds of Learning fundraising campaign, the global implementation of the Institute’s donor recognition strategy and the relocation of The Institute of Ismaili Studies to new premises in London. In a voluntary capacity, Asif has served on various committees associated with the Ismaili community in the United Kingdom.
