Learning
The Institute develops teaching and learning materials for students. Ta‘lim is an international programme in religious and cultural education for Ismaili Muslim students in the pre-school, primary and secondary levels of education. It aims to educate students in the heritage, history and culture of Muslim peoples.
To facilitate the implementation of Ta‘lim within the Ismaili community, a Professional Teacher Education programme was launched in 2002, in collaboration with the Institute for Educational Development of the Aga Khan University in Pakistan and the Ismaili Tariqah and Religious Education Boards. The programme aims to develop human resources in teaching. It is hoped that teaching and learning aids appearing on the website will appeal to students and teachers world-wide.
The Institute also promotes lifelong learning through its publications as well as by organising seminars conferences and public lectures on a wide variety of topics and subject areas, attended by people of all ages and backgrounds.
