Qurratulain Faheem

مقدمة

Qurratulain Faheem received her BSc, in Nursing from the Aga Khaninfo-icon University, School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2009.

After completing an MA in Muslim Cultures from AKU-ISMC (2012), Qurratulain went on to do her MSc in Medical Anthropology at the University College London (UCL) in 2013 with a dissertation on ‘Exploring Medical Pluralism among Female Pakistani Migrants in London.

In 2019, Qurratulain was awarded the IIS Doctoral Scholarship to pursue a PhD in Anthropology at the University of Sussex. Her thesis, provisionally entitled ‘Exploring the Variant Perceptions of the Human Body in Muslim Diverse Communities and its Impact on their Approaches Towards Organ Transplantation’ will explore the various actors and institutions which Muslim communities form their perceptions towards a biomedical ethical phenomenon, such as organ transplantation; and the diversity of perceptions and approaches found among Muslim communities.
