Shameer Ali Prasla holds the position of Digital Education Officer in the Department of Curriculum Studies. He is involved in assisting with the development and implementation of DCS’s digital education project.
Prior to joining the IIS, Shameer worked as a consultant with Finnish EdTech companies and completed a research-based MA in education technology in Finland. He is a graduate of the first cohort of the STEP programme, and has served as a STEP teacher in Pakistan. He has acted as the STEP Liaison Coordinator in IIS’s Department of Community Relations, responsible for managing events and programmes for in-service STEP teachers, mentors and other academic staff.
In his previous roles, Shameer has worked for the University of Karachi, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Pakistan. He has served in several Jamati institutions, including as Honorary Secretary for the Aga Khan Local Education Board for Karimabad (Pakistan), Head Teacher for al-Haq Religious Education Centre in Karachi, and a member of FOCUS Pakistan’s regional committee.
