Urooj will be developing a proposal on one or more strategic areas of the IIS Oral History Project in a selected geographic location. She will be arranging, conducting and recording interviews, both face to face wherever possible and online. Urooj will be organising and transcribing interviews, including those conducted previously, in a timely manner. She will also be responsible for producing accessible write-ups for the IIS website/blog on some of the microprojects from the Oral History Project.

Urooj is from Hunza, Pakistan. She is a 2022 GPISH graduate with an MSc in Social and Cultural Anthropology from University College London. She worked with USAID Pakistan, Citizens Archive of Pakistan and Sindh Education Foundation during her undergraduate studies in Karachi, Pakistan. Urooj's interests include social and cultural anthropology, climate change, lifeworlds and stories.
