Maria Pardali


Maria joined the Department of Graduate Studies as Academic Administrator in January 2021. She co-ordinates all core teaching arrangements for GPISH and STEP, the IIS's two graduate programmes, including the management of timetables, assessments and marking, and exam boards.

Previously she qualified as a lawyer in Greece and mostly managed immigration and family law cases. Maria then moved to the UK to study human rights and worked as a legal assistant in a clinical trials organisation and later as a curriculum officer at Frontline, a social work education charity that trains social workers. There, she project managed aspects of two education programmes, a master’s in social work and a family therapy course for senior social workers.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, a PG Cert in Human Rights Law from the University of London, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights from Birkbeck School of Law.
