The IIS is based at the Aga Khan Centre (AKC), in the heart of London’s Knowledge Quarter in King’s Cross. The AKC is also home to the Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations and the Aga Khan Foundation UK. We collaborate with other institutions of the Ismaili Imamat and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and are an active member of the Knowledge Quarter. The IIS publishes in association with various academic publishers, mainly Bloomsbury Publishing, Brill and Oxford University Press. We partner with SOAS University of London and UCL Institute of Education to offer our two graduate programmes.

The AKC hosts a variety of events, exhibitions and talks that are open to the public.
