Dr I-Chen Hsieh is Academic Skills Tutor and Coordinator at The Institute of Ismaili Studies, where she supports students across the Institute’s graduate and preparatory programmes in developing the academic literacy and communication practices required for postgraduate study. Her work includes academic reading and writing, critical engagement with sources, assessment and feedback literacy, research communication, and one-to-one academic skills support.
Before joining IIS, Dr Hsieh worked in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and academic literacy across UK higher education, including at Coventry University, the University of Warwick and the University of Birmingham. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is active in the BALEAP and IATEFL professional communities.
