Fayyaz Nurmohamed is the Director of Communications for the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Appointed to this role in late 2021, he oversees communications for the Ismaili Imamat, the AKDN, and the Ismaili community globally.

He served His Late Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan since 1998 on policy and planning for the Aga Khan Development Network. As Secretary of the AKDN, he worked closely with the AKDBN agencies, and His Highness’s diplomatic and community leaders and institutions. He has served on the governance bodies of a number of AKDN agencies.

From 1995-1998, Mr Nurmohamed was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He holds a BA (Hons) in History from Stanford University and an MPhil in Near Eastern Studies from Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
