The Aga KhanA title granted by the Shah of Persia to the then Ismaili Imam in 1818 and inherited by each of his successors to the Imamate. Library shares resources on the history, politics, traditions, and beliefs that have shaped the contemporary global Muslim community. Our service supports teaching, learning and research at The Institute of Ismaili Studies and The Aga Khan University’s Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations. With more than 55,000 volumes we provide academics and researchers with the resources to thoroughly study the most diverse subjects in Islamic studies.
