IIS Digital Curriculum
The IIS Digital Curriculum (IISDC) aims to make Taʿlīm curriculum materials published by IIS available as e-books to teachers, students, parents and members of the Ismaili community in general. The e-book platform is intended to widen access to the curriculum for the Ismaili community as well as to facilitate classroom and remote teaching.
The new digital curriculum platform adopts a multilingual approach, aiming to make the e-books available in languages other than English on a phased basis. The user interface is available in English, French, Portuguese and Gujarati, with additional languages slated to be added.
The IISDC platform benefits from multiple navigation features, annotation tools, and search facilities within and across e-books. Apps for Android and iOS as well as Windows and Mac OS are currently under development and will allow the e-books to be downloaded onto the user’s personal devices for offline reading.
In the coming years, it is planned to increase the technical sophistication of the digital platform to make the educational process even more engaging and fulfilling for students, teachers, parents and other members of the Ismaili community.
