Biography
Rosa leads on the delivery of the international preparatory programmes (PGPPs) which feed priority country candidates to STEP and GPISH.
She manages a team of four staff running seven online preparatory programmes covering Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Russia and Tajikistan diaspora, and oversees programme development, modules and teaching/learning materials. Her role spans programme marketing, student admissions and recruitment, teacher recruitment and supervision, partnership management with stakeholders overseas, as well as teaching, and academic advising for students.
Her international track record includes senior education and training roles with the British Council in Senegal, Tanzania, Sudan, Jordan and Syria. She has designed and delivered teacher-training and CPD, mentored teachers towards online delivery and qualifications, and built monitoring and evaluation systems through observations, workshops and reporting to senior stakeholders. In Tanzania, she supported a £5m DFID-funded education quality project, helping recruit, train and line-manage 34 teacher trainers and enabling cascade training reaching 1,500 tutors and 70,000 trainee teachers.
Across her career, she has led curriculum and programme design, strengthened safeguarding and risk controls, and delivered inclusive projects promoting disability access and rights. She contributes to academic governance through committee work and brings an evidence-based approach to quality assurance and learner outcomes. She holds an MA in Global Ethics and a PGCert in Academic Practice for Higher Education from King’s College London, as well as a PGCE in ESOL and a BA in Social Policy, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
