Dr Dagikhudo Dagiev is a Senior Research Associate at the IIS, where he is also Coordinating the IIS Scholarships and Fellowships. Dr Dagiev obtained his bachelor’s degree (with honours) from the Khorog State University, Khorog, Tajikistan, also an IIS Alumni from Graduate Programme in Islamic Studies and Humanities (GPISH 2000–2002).
He completed his MPhil Degree in Eurasian Studies from Oxford University and was awarded PhD in Department of Political Science at University College London (UCL).
Dr Dagiev has authored

- Identity, History and Trans-Nationality in Central Asia: The Mountain Communities of Pamir (London, 2019).
He is also author of several book chapters, journal articles and encyclopaedia entries.
He teaches on Islamic and Central Asian History.
