Biography

Resham Pirzada is Internal Communications and Administrative Officer in the Office of Communications and Development at The Institute of Ismaili Studies.

She supports internal communications and the maintenance of the IIS intranet, and works on donor engagement activities including events and gift distributions. She also provides organisational and programmatic support for onsite and offsite programmes, and oversees financial administration for the Office of Communications and Development’s activities.

Before joining IIS, Resham was a Research Assistant at SOAS, University of London, on the Influencing Corridors of Power (ICOP) project, where she organised panel events on policy and human rights at SOAS and in Westminster. Prior to that, she was a Programmes Fellow at One Young World, managing scholarship and grant programmes and supporting the organisation’s annual international youth summit.

Resham holds a BA in International Relations from SOAS, University of London, with a focus on decolonial studies and South Asia.
