Shiʿi Studies Unit

By championing excellence in research, The Institute of Ismaili Studies aims to play a pivotal role in the study of Shiʿi Islam. The Shiʿi Studies Unit seeks to promote a better understanding of Shiʿi Islam, its history, thought and practices and how these relate to issues of modernity and contemporary manifestations of Shiʿi traditions in arenas as diverse as the arts and culture, politics, economics and law. We strive to grow our international partnerships and continue to increase the reach and impact of our research in this field.

Shiʿi Heritage Series

We established the Shiʿi Heritage Series to disseminate our research and expand our academic partnerships internationally. The Series seeks to bring together some of the most significant contributions in the study of Shiʿi Islam through an interdisciplinary approach, making these accessible to a wide audience of academics and non-specialists.
