Susheel leads the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications plans for the Institute’s academic programmes, research publications and events, and the curriculum, working with colleagues in the Office of Communications and Development. He has particular interests in leveraging new technologies to generate data-driven marketing insights, building strategic partnerships (across AKDN and Ismaili institutions, co-publishers, university and Knowledge Quarter partners), as well as cultivating empathetic and values-based leadership.

Susheel holds an MA in History of Art from the University of St Andrews, and UC Berkeley, and a Masters from Oxford. He began his publishing career at I.B. Tauris, with a resolve to build bridges at the intersection of academia and the global community, and translate scholarship into wider public and social impact. Working across humanities, applied and social science portfolios at scholarly publishers including Palgrave Macmillan, Springer Nature and SAGE, he has continued to pursue this goal at IIS, connecting educators, students, Ismaili communities, and global audiences at large with the mission of the Institute.
